High school experiments with centrifugal force are NOT scientific, nor do they in any way measure the equality in forces! You HAVE no data on the equality of forces between a planet and its sun. What are the differences between the high school experiment you describe and planet revolutions, and why is this non-scientific? 1) In the high school experiment gravity is pulling to the side, not the center, 2) the centrifugal force is continually reinforced by pulling from the student's arm, 3) the pulling by the student's arm is not measured, 4) the simulated gravity attraction of a sun is done by a string that is fixed and cannot reflect variability.

You complain about OUR lack of dealing with facts, Greg, and then use this example to bolster you claim that Newton explained all adequately! Get a grip!

What does the price of tea have to do with any of this? We described an experiment in a vacuum chamber, where a centered object, spinning was dropped and the centrifugal force measured precisely as it did so. What you call the centrifugal force DIED as it dropped, without friction from air pressure to use as the usual standard excuse. This means that Newton's balanced equation was a DESCRIPTION of what he saw in the heavens, not an explanation for what was happening, regardless of how detailed his description is.

Address THAT, not the price of tea.
